DESCRIPTION:Swimcart Beach\, Bay of Fires. \nOvernight Friday 28th and Saturday 29th August \nIf you are looking to find a bit of sun at this time of year\, the east coast could be the place it’s going to be at. The beach is huge\, good for walks or even surf fishing. \nSwimcart Beach has really good free camping areas\, both close to the ocean\, or back a bit in more secluded areas if it’s a little windy. They are mostly good and flat and suitable for any of our rigs. \nThere are no power or water hook-up facilities\, so BYO everything. \nDirections; \nVia St Helens\, head towards Binalong Bay and turn off towards The Gardens. \nYou will travel on good sealed roads until the turnoff into the camping area\, then it is very good unsealed road for about 200 or 300 metres. \nPlease let Mike know if you are coming. 0408 263 880. \nMap of Swimcart Beach

SUMMARY:TAS - Tag-a-long to the 2026 National Rally Broken Hill
DESCRIPTION: Tag a long to the Broken Hill 2026 National Rally \n12th to 18th October 2026 \nMike and Sue from Tasmania are organising a tag-a-long to the National Rally in Broken Hill this October. \nThere are no fixed stops or dates at this stage except that we will depart Geelong in late September and head in a westerly direction into South Australia. At some stage we will be turning north\, zig zaging and exploring as we go\, before we head east towards Broken Hill. Along the way we will be staying at a variety of places such as free camps\, donation stops and a couple of caravan parks. \nWe intend to be close to Broken Hill on the Sunday night so we can get to the rally site by about lunch time on Monday the 12th October \nA few Tasmanians will be making the trip with us\, but anyone from anywhere is most welcome to join us at any stage. \nOur members who attended Longford will now know the fun you have and all the great people you meet at these national events\, and for those who couldn’t make it\, now is your chance. \nAs we all know it is very prudent to book your spot on the Spirit well in advance\, even 11 months out just to make sure. Yes\, the new Spirits are due to come on line about that time of year but we all know the troubles they have had and at this stage I wouldn’t be betting my house on an exact date. Starting some plans now is not a bad idea. \nFirstly\, I’d like to have an idea of how many may be joining us\, so please let me know soon if you are at all interested in this trip. SUMMARY:TAS - SPRINGTIME RALLY AT (Oatlands) TUNNACK
DESCRIPTION:We are camping on the Tunnack Oval on the Friday and Saturday nights. \nTunnack camping will be a $5 donation. This is asked for to upkeep the area which is looked after by CMCA members. \nThe ground is nice and level\, without any boggy areas and has a public toilet on site\, but that’s all. \nTwo minutes walk away\, The Tunnack Community Club is looking forward to welcoming us for dinner on one (or both) of our nights there. The word is that their meals are really good and at reasonable prices. \nMore details are to follow\, maybe something special will happen with our meal at the Community Club. \nBut if you would like to warm up for the weekend\, why not come and free camp at Oatlands on the Thursday night? \nOatlands is a free campsite and has toilets and free BBQs.
