SUMMARY:Tas - Winter Rally
DESCRIPTION:Our Winter Rally will celebrate the winter solstice\, which is Sunday 21st June 2026 \nWe are right on the waterfront at the Swansea Holiday Park\, 2 Bridge St Swansea. \nThe dates are overnight Friday 19th Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June. \nSites are $40 per night and include power and water. No un-powered sites are available. \nIf you like\, cabins are available as well. \nYou will need to ring and make your own booking at the park and make sure you say you are with the Ulysses RV Group so they can keep us in the one area. Phone the park on 6257 8148. \nOn the Saturday night we will try the Swansea RSL for a tasty and good value meal\, so please let Mike know on 0408 263 880 of your intention to attend the weekend\, so the table size can be organised. SUMMARY:TAS - Tag-a-long to the 2026 National Rally Broken Hill
DESCRIPTION: Tag a long to the Broken Hill 2026 National Rally \n12th to 18th October 2026 \nMike and Sue from Tasmania are organising a tag-a-long to the National Rally in Broken Hill this October. \nThere are no fixed stops or dates at this stage except that we will depart Geelong in late September and head in a westerly direction into South Australia. At some stage we will be turning north\, zig zaging and exploring as we go\, before we head east towards Broken Hill. Along the way we will be staying at a variety of places such as free camps\, donation stops and a couple of caravan parks. \nWe intend to be close to Broken Hill on the Sunday night so we can get to the rally site by about lunch time on Monday the 12th October \nA few Tasmanians will be making the trip with us\, but anyone from anywhere is most welcome to join us at any stage. \nOur members who attended Longford will now know the fun you have and all the great people you meet at these national events\, and for those who couldn’t make it\, now is your chance. \nAs we all know it is very prudent to book your spot on the Spirit well in advance\, even 11 months out just to make sure. Yes\, the new Spirits are due to come on line about that time of year but we all know the troubles they have had and at this stage I wouldn’t be betting my house on an exact date. Starting some plans now is not a bad idea. \nFirstly\, I’d like to have an idea of how many may be joining us\, so please let me know soon if you are at all interested in this trip. SUMMARY:TAS - SPRINGTIME RALLY AT (Oatlands) TUNNACK
DESCRIPTION:We are camping on the Tunnack Oval on the Friday and Saturday nights. \nTunnack camping will be a $5 donation. This is asked for to upkeep the area which is looked after by CMCA members. \nThe ground is nice and level\, without any boggy areas and has a public toilet on site\, but that’s all. \nTwo minutes walk away\, The Tunnack Community Club is looking forward to welcoming us for dinner on one (or both) of our nights there. The word is that their meals are really good and at reasonable prices. \nMore details are to follow\, maybe something special will happen with our meal at the Community Club. \nBut if you would like to warm up for the weekend\, why not come and free camp at Oatlands on the Thursday night? \nOatlands is a free campsite and has toilets and free BBQs.
